Well, guns are made for shooting, and have probably less "artistic" and more "utilitarian" functions to them than a car. But if you ahd a 150yr old six-shooter from the old west, you probably wouldnt shoot it every time you went to the range. Why? cuz it could blow up, or soemthing could happen to it, and then you will have destroyed a peice of history that cant be replaced. So maybe you runn a round or two through every blue moon, just to see that it can, but for the most part its value comes from its rarity and its historical or sentimental significance, not being able to shoot it. For many people, the value of a car like a GNX comes from the same things, and its not worth putting the routine wear and tear on it, or especially taking the risk of a car rear ending it, or worse. My grandpa tracked down and bought the studebaker he gave my grandma their first kiss in as a present on their 5th anniversary. Ever since then, he never drove it, and kept it garaged except for a drive every year on the anniversary from their house to the place where they first kissed (bout 3 miles round trip). Was this car wasted since it was hardly driven, and kept in a garage most of its life? I dont think so. If the guy buys a car, its his to do whatever he wants with. If that means preserving it for future generations, then more power to him... id rather that than see him chop it up and turn it into a racecar like i saw some guy do to a true split-window vette recently.
