Nice find twinvipers. I remember sitting in and looking at the GNX that was at Parson's Buick in Plainville CT. It was early 1988 and i was 11 years old. My father was the new car manager there (now general saels manager). I stared at that car for hours. They wound up selling it to another dealer for $29k in the spring of 1988. Lol, ill take 10 at that price please. i still have pics of that car from the day they received it. Im not sure what number it was but i will try to find out this week. You can never have enough GNX's or turbo cars in general.

Thans Bison,

I remember drooling over them also...

Well, guns are made for shooting, and have probably less "artistic" and more "utilitarian" functions to them than a car. But if you ahd a 150yr old six-shooter from the old west, you probably wouldnt shoot it every time you went to the range. Why? cuz it could blow up, or soemthing could happen to it, and then you will have destroyed a peice of history that cant be replaced. So maybe you runn a round or two through every blue moon, just to see that it can, but for the most part its value comes from its rarity and its historical or sentimental significance, not being able to shoot it. For many people, the value of a car like a GNX comes from the same things, and its not worth putting the routine wear and tear on it, or especially taking the risk of a car rear ending it, or worse. My grandpa tracked down and bought the studebaker he gave my grandma their first kiss in as a present on their 5th anniversary. Ever since then, he never drove it, and kept it garaged except for a drive every year on the anniversary from their house to the place where they first kissed (bout 3 miles round trip). Was this car wasted since it was hardly driven, and kept in a garage most of its life? I dont think so. If the guy buys a car, its his to do whatever he wants with. If that means preserving it for future generations, then more power to him... id rather that than see him chop it up and turn it into a racecar like i saw some guy do to a true split-window vette recently.

I'm pretty sure I started my post with "Personally." As in, my opinion. I have sevral antique objects and those that can still be used, are used and those that are beyond repair, sit in a box. No matter what car I ever get, I'll drive it. Hell, I'd probably race an origional Ferrari GTO.

SWEET and congrats man but I see one major, huge, earthshaking problem that you have here. The storage fees, all the waxing, the oil changes, wow thats just to much work for one man to do. Tell you what, being that I am a nice fellow and want to help you out just send me one or two of them to get them out of your way and I'll figure out something to do with them  It will be a challenge on me but I will be willing just to help out a board member lol. Glad it went to someone that knows what they have and will take care of her. congrats again man!!!!!!!!!!! Daniel Ray

Twin Vipers you are a very lucky man, very nice cars. I am certainly green as well!

Damn twin vipers. I cant hate, if I had that kind of dough my garage wouldnt be much different. Well.. maybe a little. :)
