My Surburban is a whole lotta fun to fill also, our gas pumps cut us off at $50.00 and that dosen't fill it
There is a gas station here that closed about 2 yrs ago that still has its prices up on the board, prices at like $1.26 for 87oct and $1.42 for 93

On a serious note, the gas prices truly are a crisis. They are a double whammy for the average American... at the pump and for increasing prices of goods and services where oil is needed in production and or delivery.

Yeah I paid 99.00 yeaterday to fill my GMC Holds 44 gal silly $1.00 shy of 100 if I used anything more than 87 I would be over the top. It gets ****ty mileage . The gn is better but nothing less than 93 for her so it balences out. Guess I need to buy another used cavalier they suck but the wife is getting 30 mpg with hers ....

Cost me over $32 to fill up my 4 cylinder eagle talon turbo!! For a little 2.0L engine it gets pretty crappy milage in the city, but its much better than the GN. Good thing I only work 4 miles from home.

Ive talked to our delivery drivers lately, and the costs of them getting us our stuff is just nuts. Of course, then we have to pass that along to our customers as well. Transportation as a whole is suffering from this, but it impacts a lot of other things down the line.
Im glad I traded in my truck last winter. I wish I lived closer to work though. Those of us who have long commutes are really hurtin. I put at least 400 miles a week on, so its getting expensive, even at 24mpg.
I may just reconsider taking my Escort off the road. It needs some work, but 36 mpg I was getting with that might just be worth it in the long run.

well, we have no one to blame but ourselves. We have plenty of opportunities to reduce the prices (produce our own oil, and build more refineries) but the people dont want that. They made their bed and now they must sleep in it.
theres plenty of oil in the US and now there is growing debate among geologists as to the actual origin of oil. It may infact not be a fossil fuel at all and naturally developed from deep within the earth. Case in point, dried up and capped wells from the early 1900s are now full again.

I wonder how many companys are going to tank before something is done about these prices. There is a story about the LA Times circulation dropping drastically. That would have nothing to do with people giving up the the little things so they can pay to get to work! The airlines are their own story, this keeps going, we'll be taking the bus to get across country, or paying 1K to fly across the country, and this inflation/ratio to the eighties... if that is correct, why were businesses flourishing back then, when now they're tanking?
Absolutely true. Yet somehow I don't feel any better.
It was bound to happen sooner or later. Personally it's not too big of a deal for me. I can still afford to fill up my Honda and maybe it's not a bad thing that people start to think about what kind of vehicles they drive. I'm not a tree hugger but don't think there's any reason for 110# soccer moms' to transport 120# of kids in a 8000 lb vehicle.
