Ive got boost turned down to 16#s, TT chip has been tweaked, pulled timing etc while Alky is off, and still gets squirley..lol

That bike is actually pretty slow, It does the 1/4 in blistering 11.0 @ 134 or close to that.. And the price of those are as low as $1,125 - $3,900 and the top priced ones are LOADED with parts...

And the S-10 is just an S-10.....

All in all I think he will be getting the better deal...

I would probably have to say I would hold out for a better deal as well Mike. But it is your car and your decision. When you go to sell the truck or bike you won't be getting alot out of either. That is just my 2.

That truck is probably worth 3000 on a good day,and so is the bike.I wouldn't do it.You could sell your car and get a zx-10 and a syclone.That truck could have a lt5 and it still wouldn't sell quick.There is no real market for them like a GN.If you like it than do it.Sometimes people just need to see the other side,im just showing you.Good luck

A decent condition RC51 (clean title) in that year will go for around $2500-$4000. I picked one up last month and love it! It's a love it or hate it kind of bike, and very unique today. Ride it first before considering it further, its not a typical inline-4 ride. And yeah, its not as fast as a new 1000rr or ZX14, but who cares? You can't really use 180+ bike hp on the street anyways.

When you ask for people's opinions about a deal don't be surprised when they give it to you, good or bad! It's YOUR TR and if you want to trade it by all means do what makes YOU happy. Personally, I would never do it cause as someone else already said you will never be able to get the money out of the truck or bike like you could the TR, however, that might not matter to you? Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Maybe if the S-10 was a new body style(Xtreme) and it had a LS3/turbo and a 6 speed.
But those 1st gens look like **** and are a dime a dozen. JMO.

I can't speak about the bike...

But the truck....if you do make the deal, at least make sure it was "put together correctly".

I've seen plenty of V8 converted S-10's that were just "thrown together" using whatever parts they could to make the engine fit/run. Everything from hacked hoods to fit over sized radiators that were zip tied to the core support to improper motor mounts tack welded directly to the frame to not upgrading the front suspension to handle the V8 to ripping the hvac box right off the wall for clearance (not required) to not hooking back up the reverse lamps or speedo.
