Does anyone have the Kenne Bell GNX style gauge cluster part #82046? I just bought one used and it was missing some of the instructions. I am hoping someone who bought this package still has the instructions for it. I have it installed , but the tach does not work. Also I believe the speed sensor is not working as well since now I get a check engine light after a few miles of driving. I will pull a code on it in the morning, but I am pretty sure it is the speed sensor. If anyone has the instructions, I sure could use a copy of it....TIA

gnx cluster

i would just call kenne bell they are real nice there ......I have been there in person i think that they would send you any thing that you would need if you need some help let me know and i will see what i can do i live in so cal and kenne bell is about a 1 1/2 hour drive for me

WOW!!! Thanks for the offer.....but

that wont be necessary. I called them before posting here and was told that they stopped producing these kits a while ago and that the info on them were not in their system. The individual that I spoke to on the phone told me that he would check their old files (tucked away in boxes) and if he fould anything he would fax it to me.....unfortunately he was not able to find anything. :(

Oh well, I'm sure I will be able to figure it out on my own. I got the fuel level, oil pressure, boost, and water temp gauges all working as well as the "idiot" lights, service engine soon and gauge lights. Just have the Speedo and the Tach left to figure out.

If your car originally had an analog dash there should be a plug with 8 wires no longer being used. The tach should tap into the white wire on the 8wire plug.If your car had a digital dash then you need to tap into the white wires with green plug behind the alternator. On my tach there are 3 wires, not counting the wires for the lights. There is a pos. a neg. and a sender. The sender is the one that needs to connect to the white wire.
Did you get a different vss with your dash?If not Caspers Electronics should have the vss you need.

Thats the info I was looking for!!!

Thank you TurboBuick.com and 2NASSTYBUICKS!!!

My car was equipted with analog gauges from the factory. I had (have) my tach lead wired to the green plug behind the alternator. I will switch that to the white wire on the 8 wire plug no longer being used. The GNX gauge package came with a VSS that is between the two speedo cables (connected near master cylinder). It had the same colored wires (three) as the stock VSS which was located behind the original speedo so I sliced the original three with those. I am thinking the red wire is not supposed to be connected. Hopefully you or someone else can tell me if this is correct.

Once again, thank you 2NASSTY!!! :D
