keyless remote programming.. 96 regal??

Google is not hooking me up this time. Anybody have key fob programming instructions for a 96 Regal Gran Sport??

Cycle the key on/off 8 times, then press the unlock button on the remote. Some cars program in this manner, might work.

I helped a friend with is '96 Bonneville last week. We had the doors closed, ignition on, shorted out two of the pins at the ALDL for about 25 seconds until the locks cycled. Then we held down both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote until the locks cycled again.

UPDATE for the archives..... There's a black and white wire in the trunk near the power antenna. Just ground it out and the locks cycle. Then hold both buttons down on all remotes and presto they're programmed. This works for model years up to 1996. 1997 and up are different.
