Went to the street legal races at the local 1/8 mile track last night, primarily to do some testing on a friend's '89 IROC. I hadn't run the GN since the nats. In spite of the 98* heat the GN was consistent and hooked well on my three time trials so I decided to run the domestic eliminator just to get some practice in. I won the domestic eliminator with reaction times of .554, .539, .670 (after I saw the other car red light), and .591. The domestic winner runs the import eliminator winner in the final and I beat the import with a .530 reaction time. Not bad for 4 year old BFG radial t/a's.
Not exactly like winning the nats but after 30 years, competing and winning is still fun.
