i had this all taken care of, last week i was running 23-24psi no knock what so ever. i was a happy camper to say the least. now, today i get on it, and oh, hello 14 degrees of KR.. what the hell? hit the test button on SMC for a couple seconds, tryed again, this time 16 KR, this was at about ~820mV.

whats going on here? why when i solve my problems does it all come back? weird... i guess i could try dumping some Xylene in the tank see if that does anything.

but when i fire the car up, i hear something rattling a little bit, i think its my tail pipe, so i am going to try and bend it down see if it does anything. but, i dont hear it rattling at WOT

Neil, are you sure your alky system is working properly? Maybe try turning the alky off and adding some race gas and see if the problem goes away? If not then maybe you are looking at false KR or some other problem. At least by adding some race gas you could eliminate the alky system as the possible culprit.
 
humm, well i was talking to my friend, who is a mechcanic, and he sat in the car, and power braked it, and at about 3000 on the factory tach, he noticed the car missing. its good everywhere else, it just misses for 200prm +/-3000. could this be causing the knock? he said to try and widen the gap on the plugs, should i widen it? or tighen it?
