knock problem

how come with out the alky at 20lbs i get no detonation
turn on the alky and i get detonation?
seems kind backwards,and i checked the nozzle and it is discharging corectly,

What were your O2's at the time? Maybe it's a rich knock?

my 02s were in the mid 800s with the knock
