Knock Sensor interchangability?

Does anyone know if all GM knock sensors are infact the same? I have seen some that look identical on votrec 4.3l, 5.7l and most other GM motors.

I am looking for a new one, but they seen to be super expensive.

I remember doing some cross referancing. I ended up using a LT1 knock sensor.

That is good to know, but no parts guy will be able to tell me what is what. Or will they?

You should be able to find it for $35-$45...
And it does appear to have more applications than just the LC2, icluding the LT1 as DD wrote about and maybe the TPI and possible the LS series.(it's just listing a year range from 85-2002)

You know...it's function is critical and certainly not worth saving $10 here or there. Piece of mind sometimes isn't cheap....
