knock when I hit the gas

Hey guys,
Im getting some knock when I hit the gas to get on the car. If im cruising around it's ok. But if I nail it to the floor it knocks 1 or 2 degrees and them goes off once the car gets into high boost and rpm range. Im thinking that it could be the MAF going bad. I had the coil pack tested and it was ok. I know sometimes you can check these things and they check ok , but they are still bad.

Any ideas guys.

I dont see how the MAF going bad would cause transitional knock. Maybe you are too lean down low. I would talk to whoever made your chip

I don't think it's the chip. It just started doing this a week ago and i've had the same chip in the car for a year now. I think something is starting to go bad and im not sure what it is. I read somewhere before that a bad MAF can cause false knock. Ill keep on looking.

You can try swapping with another MAF. Try sprinkling some race gas in to see if it goes away

Chris,
Cruz mode is lean and runs a little hot without an egr. If you have a little carbon build up it is not unusual for that to happen till it cools down a little when you give it throttle.
