thanks for the link darkred... a little armchair psychology... seems to me it was just his mouth moving faster than his brain...if he was racist it probably would have come out a long time before...i think the rage was generated by a lack of confidence in himself, he probably felt unprepared...thats when distractions are magnified...kinda like if your trying to accomplish a task, without really having a gameplan, you'll tend to use any and all distractions as an excuse why you failed...i think he was desparate and initially tried to work the distraction into his act and quickly realized he was beyond the point of return...just my spare change...

I am Rev Artelious Parnel Fooshanks a.k.a.- Lil' Preach and I think if there is some way to get on this scandal and line my pockets fo a new cadillac then yeah he should pay 500,000 fo everytime he said it ..but I get 85% off the top.

What gets me is I hear Blacks call each other that all the time. The way I see it is I would not call my wife or a Female family member a Fu!%ing Slut and do not want anyone else to either.
Same in my eyes as the "N" word should be abolished all together internally or externally (from whitey, or whoever).
But I guess it boils down to the regression amongst the culture. I took the same english as the Blacks in school (south) and yet it is a excepted thing and a billion dollar industry (hip hop) to be all ghetto and act hard like u from da streets and stuff.
And then when you have to step up and show results to society and go for a job interview and your dressed in a bright blue 3 piece suit and Gold teeth and cant stop saying "You know what I am saying" every third word, grabbing your crotch and twitching around with hand jestures like you are Rapping. I needs dis jobs fo my girl she be pregnant u know what I am saying .
Ohh I did not get the job ...racist ..racist. The circle continues and it is Nasty.

Folks in the crowd where asking for it...got a bit much but hey it happens.
I think he has siad enough apology wise and the Media blows everything outta proportion.

Im not sure I like the racial undertone of your opening paragraph but I'll let it go.
At the time of the Atlantic slave trade, N*gg*r was a casual English language term for black people. The word later became associated with an overt contempt, a racist assumption of inherent black inferiority, making it extremely pejorative.
Your attempt to compare calling someone a N*gg*r to calling your wife a slut is also not acceptable. Calling your wife a slut is bad, yes, and it is certainly not acceptable for someone else to do so. However, the word N*gg*r has deep roots in history to a time when it was ok to treat black human beings worse than wild animals.
Also, Since you brought it up...hip-hop is not the United States biggest music industry because blacks like it, its because whites like it just as much or even more so. More than half of the people I see in my everyday life are whites, asians and hispanics trying to portray what they think is black. Your racial stereotypes have nothing to do with this discussion. Making generalizations about blacks, or any race for that matter, is exactly what leads to racism and predjudice.
Once again, I do not think that Michael Richards is a racist, but he made remarks that were extremely racist and they cannot be justified by saying "he just got a little carried away". His apology has been made and it is over and no one deserves any monetary compensation. I agree with you on that, but I do not agree with your statement or reasoning.

I totally agree with the post above. Blacks, NAACP, Jesse Jackson, etc, should be totally against the "N" word as well, being it is such a degrading, foul, offensive, word.

They take extreme offense to a white guy saying it, but are tolerant when they say it to each other??? No, so is the case. Also, used in many gangster, and now regular hip hop music (is this culture???)

I say they should all get up in arms, and maybe this a big wake-up call for introspection into their own culture and need some revisions in their own perceptions of the word.

Dare to call a woman the "C" word, and see what happens. And it's not the word Cute either! (take away the e and add an n before the t) Say this to many woman and they'll hate ya with a passion.

It's a totally foul word. Jews don't use the "K" word for themselves! K for Kike for those wondering...


On a last note, if it's in the confines of your bedroom, anything goes if it turns you and your woman on. So if she likes to be called a dirty wh0re, the "N" word, etc etc- Have At It!!
