For anyone interested, I received a mailer today with a special holiday pricing on KYB's, starting as low as $14.95 per shock, or $67.80 for a set of four. From Year One (1-800-year-one) sale ends 12/31/02. FYI

That is an excellent price considering I paid 109.00 for 4 of them 3 years ago. All around good shocks for the price.

I have these on my car, and while I can't compare them to bilsteins, the KYBs are very competent shocks. Nice and firm, with a little forgiving side. I'm pleased.

now the thing is my mom will be driving this car too but i want to take it out in road race with it.

I have the KYB gas adjusts on my car. Nothing to compare them too, but I've got no complaints either. I think I paid about $120-130 for the set about 2 years ago.

If that price is for gas-a-justs its a hell of a deal. I've put those on 4 different g bodies I've had and they ride and handle great.

quick question qwikv6 how much hp at the wheels are you putting down and at how much boost??

And what your A/R size??

You've GOT to be kidding, right? I'm just gonna start calling you "Feathers." Cuz you're like an ostrich with his head in the sand.....:p

Only Chuck and Upchuck from ChevPower TV haven't heard of Year One.... They're too busy pimpin' everyone else's crud....

Doug, I'm just to busy. You know, work and all.;) Honestly, I have never heard of Year One. Yes I might have head in the sand but sometimes thats good:D Now, back to the Gas-a-just or the GR2 models. Which ones do we use???????????? Drew

Gas-A-Just are all you need.

J/K on the ostrich thing, Feathers. I know you're a busy guy and all at the Firehouse. ;)

I found the low price is for the gr model not the gas adjust. KYB has little to no info on these shocks at their website. I suspect that they are a Low pressure shock- not the high pressure of the GASADJUST model (I have an old set of these and they are still good). I would not buy the GR model cause I had some low pressure gas shocks and they are no better than stock.
