Did you buy it new? Many laptops will allow you to use a desktop type keyboard until you can find a replacement. You can try Ebay. They are usually pretty easy to install.

We bought an new Toshiba about 3 months ago with no problems...

Check it first. Power it off, remove power, remove battery and let it sit for five minutes. Put it all back together and see if it works. I have seen this on some new HP lappys. Love my toshibas, hope you didn't get a dud.

hello peepi: Yes, the LT cums with a 1 yr. warrenty. I got the box yesterday for no charge shipping. Now to get it to UPS to be shipped to Kentucky for repair. and that's the name of that tune.
