lc1 wideband threads

Since I have my downpipe off, now is a good time to have a nut welded on for an lc1 weather i need one or not. I have an lc1 wideband but can not find it at the moment. Do they have the same threads as an O2 sensor? That one I have handy. 18" down correct? From the shorter curve? The part of the pipe facing motor?
I was told they are the same thread pattern but I figured I'd double check.

Sensor placement needs to be at the bottom of the downpipe, prior to the dump. If installed to close to the turbo, the heat will shorten the life of the sensor. Also, the controller needs to be mounted inside the car away from the elements.

they run the same thread as a narrowband M18x1.5mm.after welding run a tap through the hole as they rip the threads off your good wideband sensor easy if it warps

Threads are the same. Get it as far down the pipe as you can.

As for how far down. I've read in the past 18" to 24" down from the turbo or so.

I mounted mine exactly 18" away from turbo and the sensor failed. I'm about 36" away now. Do it right the first time and weld it further down stream. Threads are the same. There's a guy the sells the bungs with a cap for like 5-6 bucks on eBay .... There innovate brand too.

Does the angle on the pipe matter...above or below horizontal?

That's about where mine is. we tried higher up on the pipe (more toward 12 o'clock) and you couldn't get a wrench on the WBO2 sensor without taking the pipe off.
