Ok, this might sound a little weird, but I have an '84 Trans Am that I am in the process of converting to a "Knight Rider" Replica. The car doesn't have an engine yet, but I am thinking that the 3.8 LC2 would be the perfect engine for it since I'll get the nice whistle and power that KITT should have. :)

Is there an article anywhere that describes what is involved in a swap to an early F-Body? I am concerned that I'll run into a gotcha that I hadn't planned on.

Doing such swaps will always give you "gotcha's". It's best to have a totalled TTA beside the car so you'll have all the parts handy.

Good Luck and post pictures as you go along!

Someone started a KITT car on ebay and is selling his project. Has the dash and front end kit with the shwooshing light. 83 trans am I think. Kind of cool to look at. Started the search by "Knight Rider"
