Leaking Injector(s)?

39K car with original injectors. New filter, regulator & hotwired pump. Car runs fine, but there’s some slight popping from tailpipes when I let off the gas. It did that before the new parts I just listed. Could leaking injectors cause this?

Yes. If those injectors are original, there's about a 1% chance they flow evenly. With only 39k on the car, that tells me that car has spent some time sitting, which does injectors no help.

Pull them and have them flowed and cleaned. If they don't flow evenly throw them away and buy 60lb units and matching chip. You won't be disappointed.
