Is there any way to tell if the TCC is locked up while driving? I thought about running a LED on the A pillar to the TCC solenoid on the side of the trans to indicate when the TCC was lock up. Dont realy know why but thought it might be useful when diagnosing trans problem and at the track.

I have one on my GN.

Only tells you if the switch or ECM is commanding lockup, no real way to know if it's actually happening however without direct scan or rpm logger or feeling it. ;)

Electrical test indicator only but works fine.

You have to run the positive to either the brake switch TCC feed or some other IGN +12 since the ECM provides the Ground to make the circuit work.

When grounded by the ECM or switch it will illuminate.

Glad you said something about grounding out the system instead of applying volts. I for sure would have wired it wrong. Guess i will dig out the schematic just to make sure I tap into the correct wire.
