BTW, I got these videos from turbomustang.com and the guy that posted them said that this was from last night....... Also, maybe I'm the only one that noticed it, but in the second vid I can kinda tell it's a bit cold at this track..... Turbo cars + cool weather = a smile on my face!
i went with a local mustang racer with a new turbo motor. terry strange , terry went 5.04@ 144 first time out, with 17 lbs boost howlie corvette went 4.71@ 151 mph , dave ficus had his buick there with new motor he went 5.60 @ 128 dave got dubblebulbed the first run , he won anyway, the second run dave had to run the #1 qualifier. looked like dave was a little slow on the tree and his car looked like it broke the tires loose the mustang won with a 5.50 i didnt talk to dave after his last run, so i could be wrong as for happened. it was cold like 48 degree. there was a lot of bad cars there.

Sounds like a good night of racing...... I went to the local 1/4mile track (Moroso) last night and we had what I (being a Floridian) would consider cool weather (about 68-70* out) and I got to see some badass cars run...... The baddest one IMO was a 1st gen (67-69) Camaro on small 28X10.5 tires with a twin turbo 406ci SBC making some good passes as well as some scary ones cause he was all over the track (he was running N/Ts so I'm not exactly sure how fast, but by looking at it I'd say low 9's to mid 8's @160+mph)......
