SignUp Now!Good to see you tearing up the streets up there. Dig the sound of the starter and I detect a slightly different turbo flutter sound. Is that a result of your air filter being so close to the turbo? Nice!![]()
Right at the beginning I noticed your door was open and I thought to myself "It's a T Top car. I bet the door won't close right" When you had to open and re-close it I started cracking up.
Funny you say that because when I was reviewing the video, I thought to myself, "Every. Damn. Time." Too little pull and door only latches on the first latch. Too much pull and you're slamming the door closed. I've got it as good as it will get with adjusting the door strikers, greasing them and adjusting the t-top seals.
FYI, if you take the t-tops off and remove the handle and plastic cover, you can remove the seal portion (two screws) and the channel that the seal rides in is adjustable. I have all new weatherstripping and seals, so if you have original stuff on there, it might not be as easy. I did quite a bit of "massaging" of the seals to get them where they need to be after getting it back from the body shop. The repro stuff isn't terrible but does leave things to be desired in some spots.
Yep, that's what the horse sneeze sounds like when running speed density. Filter is on a straight pipe just long enough to clear the up pipe and fuel pressure transducer. It's embarrassingly loud.![]()
