I was going to line up with Al but I saw that white Skyline and couldn't resist. I had seen him run a 11.99 before so I knew had half a chance. Did a good burnout and tried to build boost as I staged. I lost to him because I was still building my 8lbs boost when green hit. r/t .314 to my 1.436, 2.134 to my 1.673 60', 12.147@117.12 to my 11.695 (new best et)@113.82. So it was a worthy race considering his high tech $80k car vs my grandma car.
There was a nasty new Mustang KR with "800" instead of the 500 on the rocker. It ran low tens. There were some nice American muscle cars that were 13ish, a slew of those expen$ive MB AMG thingies running 12s. I overheard one guy saying one of them was a 11.2 car but didn't see anything near that. There also were a few new Corvettes running low 12s. A new ZR1 was there but didn't run.
Al ran 12.4s and .5s in his resurrected beater. Stock turbo and downpipe. First time down the strip with that one. He's been tinkering with it for at least 2 years.
Gunslinger was there with his GN as well. DRAG RADIALS are needed then he'll be on his way to 12s.
