i was looking at buying a turbo this week and was looking at the pt61 and limit te61 from b&e.both have the gt compressor wheel right so is there any difference?is one better than the other, just wondering what the differences are. thanks

honestly we work together...meaning they get alot of their parts from us...john likes to do certain wheel combinations that we don't do...to say one is better than the other is non existant...john builds good turbos as do we...we are both out there to help you guys run the fastest that you can and prolong the performance market for the buicks:)

can you give me a price on the pt61 or pm with one.im in rensselaer and could pick one up. thanks

Thet may both build good turbos but limit will work alot better with you if you have a problem where precision (harry) will just about tell you which boat to jump on..without ever seeing my turbo it was my fault..maybe he has better people now..maybe not..I know john ay limit is good..long story but been there done that..john came through & harry said i couldnt buy a certain part but from him only..wanted to shaft me on a turbo that tore up with less than 500 mile son it..probably many less..ask red & maybe a few others will chime in..

that sucks, anyone else have problems with them.from the posts that i read i thought they were putting out a pretty good product and they are about 20min or so away from me.how long ago did this happen?should i look else where?i read a few posts from don_3d and he seems pretty standup,i havent heard him bad mouthing anyone else or pushing his product on anyone, but if i do have a problem i would also like someone to work with me though. thanks

If your within driving distance of PT&E, I'd just go that route without any question. Then if there's ever an issue, you can go talk to them face to face, always much easier to deal with a problem face to face rather than over the phone or email. I've always had great service from them, but I've never had a failing part either.

I bought a pt52 a couple years ago and the bearings blew out within 100 miles. I called and Precision warrantied without question!

I have bought more than one turbo from both PTE and Limit. I have never had a problem with either one. Ther service from both of them were very good. Since you are so close to PTE it would make perfect sense to go with them but IMO you can't go wrong either way.

thats what i thought too since they were close, but i dont want to pay state tax though either and i got some good prices from bne customs.
