Lincoln Towing Pirates on the News!

If ur from Chicago or just visited its very possible u may have been towed by Lincoln Towing. They hunt for illegal parking on contracted private lots and tow the violators faster than a stock GN runs the quarter. Well it looks like they towed the wrong persons car this time cuz Channel 5 news did a 3 or 4 minute piece on these crooks. Im sure the video evidence will start pouring in and payouts after that. The City would be a better place without those guys, I have to deal with them since they are located on my Beat and they call 3-4 times a week for me to do recovery paper on the steals they hook, so I have heard some outrageous stories from this place. They actually tried to fight with a pregnant lady on one occasion. Remember when in Chicago beware the Lincoln Park Pirates! Oh yeah there is actually a song written about them.

I've dealt with an honest towing company or tow truck driver maybe 10% of the tows I've ever needed. Bad experiences range from way different price than the one quoted, purposefully taking a much longer route to jack up the bill, and smashing the front end of my firebird


Unfortunately you do need them once in a blue moon... one of those necessary evils

I saw that last night, being a transplant I didn't really think that it was that bad. The worst I ever got was a $150 ticket for being about three inches in front of the alley on my olf block.

I own a wrecker service and a shop, and this is the reason that I don't do illeagal park towing. Even though most of the time the owner of the vehicle is clearly in the wrong, and has no business parking where he did, it is just not worth it to me. I would rather have a customer have his vehicle repaired at my shop and tell his friends what a good job I have done than have a customer tell everyone he knows that I am a crook for towing his car away (even though he was double parked blocking a handicapped space)

That means your parents did a good job raising you! We need more honest, principled businesses of all kinds nowadays.

I had a tow company tow my car less than a half of a mile from my old college...because apparently I was parked in the apartment section. WTF ever by the way on that. however They charged me 130.00 for a 1/2 mile tow. I WAS LIKE . So I went to the bank and got 130.00 in 1 dollar bills...hahaha I was like here you go now give me my f*ckin car pricks.
