Thought this would be a fun/helpful thread:)

I have noticed that most people dont RTV the seals going into the TB or intake to plenum seals. I really think this helps with a total seal.

I know of a few more, but will post later.

Relieving any inlet or exhaust backpressure is the most practical but here was the cheapest.

Get a manual boost controller, move the spring all the way out to where it doesn't add any boost over your adjustable wastegate arm. Then screw in the screw in the MBC until you get a few psi of boost over your adjustable rod. I have mine set to about 2psi over ( long long time ago ).

From here on out use the adjustable arm, it will help the spool up much faster and as long as you port the exhaust housing hole you'll be fine with spikes.

Correct combo yields the results. The more mismatch the parts are the harder it will be to spool and make power.

1. Correct BB turbo and Converter

2. Correct wastegate actuator and solenoid combo. for boost to be run.

3. BSTC solenoid controller.

4. Good chip code and proper chip for boost levels, quick spool code and proper wastegate solenoid control.

5. Halfway decent sealed up exhaust, least important from what I've seen over the years compared to everything else listed here.

PS: Have two cars one TT chip boost control, one BSTC control. Both work just fine.

Lets share some more...Shall we..?!?

Ported headers(check for cracks)
Nitrous ( of course )
Chip running lean for spool time
Grainger valve
Higher compression in the engine
Bell mouth IC and TB
Port matched gaskets
Ported heads with bigger valves
Eliminate vacuum block ( utilizing plenum spacer )

Anything else you can think of?

Well, its really for eliminating leaks.... The block and rubber lines almost always leak causing high blms. Under boost they would certainly leak.
