Locating possible cause of rough idle

Is there a "safe" way of disconnecting spark plug wire while running w/o getting jolted and damaging the boot. Also any trick to removing injector wire w/o damaging it while running?

Not really on the spark plug wire. It will also kill two cylinders, not just the one you are working on.

The injectors are easily unplugged, no issues there with the engine running.

Thanks guys, checked resistance at coils (warm) and showing 1150 so they look good,next check wires or just go for new set
