Depends on how your chip is programmed. For the street, lockup. What's your combo?

i have a ta 49 turbo tt chip 42lb inj razor alch hotwired pump extreme automatics stage 2 i was told b4 to go no lock up so i did but my converter went and i wanted to know if the change would benefit me and if it was necessarry with the chip i have to change it i know they wanted to know what type of converter i had when i ordered it

Did you like the way the other converter felt while driving? If your already non lock I personally would have a hard time going back to lock-up.

If you prefer something that feels more like stock, you can go to a tighter non lock converter and still spool the TA-49.

I would call Eric and see if the lockup feature is still in the chip. The benefit to lockup is lower rpm's at cruising speeds, better gas mileage, and less heat buildup in the trans.
