My combo is a BBB with a 2004R in my 82 Regal.
After having the trans installed and running for at least 4 years, I never got the lock up to work.
Well now it does, I found a wire that was "GREEN" inside and corroded, looked normal on the outside.
But now it feels like it stutters when engaged.
I manually turn it on & off with a switch, on after the trans is in OD and before I even touch the brake pedal.
Is there something I am missing? when the trans was in my GN before I took it out to use it in my Regal, it worked fine.
It feels good to see the RPMs drop when it is engaged but akward driving because it feels like its going in and out somewhat,it dosent show on the tach but if you can defenitely feel it.
