Long distance car buying

I'll be buying a car pretty soon, and I live in Saint Louis, and the car is in Florida. I was wondering how the whole payment process would go down. I am not experianced in buying things that are four 0's deep. I have car shipment arranged and everything, but I don't know how the payment would go down - such as cashiers check or what.

I paid for my car using a Cashier's check made out the name of the guy selling the car. Are you buying this site unseen or flying down to Florida, looking at it, and paying they guy? Also, have you had someone check this out for you? lots of TR guys in south Florida as you probably know.

Yes, I posted a thread in the Florida folder asking if anyone could go down there. I also contacted scottieGNZ about it. For shipping, I emailed Bmason from the board and he said he would ship the car for me.
