I've seen on some other members' cars an oil filter that's noticeably longer than the Fram PH3387A filter that was previously installed on my GN. This longer filter doesn't appear to need a special "biggie adapter" or anything, but would be better than the rather small filter I'm running now. When I do my next oil change, I'd like to buy that longer unit...what part number(s) will work? Stick with Delco/NAPA and get away from Fram, or what other suggestions do you guys have?

Still be careful. Wix offwhores some of their filters too! But they sent me a flowery e-mail telling me that they're the "best factories blah blah blahh"
I responded to them to let them know I didn't want a filter made by a 7-year-old Sum-Yung-Gai:mad: so that they could put an extra 44 cents in their shareholders' pockets.

If you don't mind spending the coin Mark Hueffmann (TR Customs) or Nick Micale can sell you a killer filter set-up.

The trick is to ask for a filter for a 94 S10 Blazer 4.3 VIN 'W'. That way the 'parts' kid doesn't try to make sure you get the right filter.

Wix from oreilleys, Pure One from Advanced, Mobil1 from Vatozone, NAPA gold from NAPA and Baldwin from the truck stop.

Leave the Frams and Delco's for the next guy.
