The dealerships around here pull that one all the time....only not just on their own customers like that one claims.

Did you ever have your GN serviced there? If so then that is why the letter looks personalized to you. It is probably just a form letter with personal stuff filling the blanks.

Thanks but why did they need Grand Nationals?
They just know what you have and try to personalize it. A few of my buddies and I still get a laugh at this guy we used to work with who fell for the letter. It was worded in a way that convinced this idiot that Cavaliers were instant collector's items and it was evidenced by the fact that GM was 'willing to pay any price to get them back'. ROTFLMFAO!! True story.

Just a gimmick to try and get you to trade in your (insert car here) for a new one that they make money on.

Ohhhhh. Yea I took the GNX in once to get the pwermaster switch recalled. I just thought it was weird they wanted an 18 yr old car.

Most Dealers buy registration data from a company called R.L. Polk who obtains it from your State. As long as it is registered, they can taylor their ads towards certain vehicles, or all vehicles. Custom advertising. Auto Manufacturers use the same data to send out recall notices.
