02 2500HD GMC with a 8.1 496CI Big Block .....

I towed a 30' Scarab with my cousins (4x4 2500 8.1i) and going 70mph was only getting 4-5mpg. I ran out of gas 1x and coasted into a gas station on fumes with the engine dying 2x. This was over a 400 mile distance on the highway. If I wasn't near a gas station within 25 miles I would get nervous of running out of gas.

That trailer is sweet BTW. Lock it up so noone "borrows" it.

LAst year with an open trialer and 71 GS i got 11mpg on the way to BG climbing mountains in West virginia also running around 80-85 the whole way

This is what all people including friends are being told,This thing is not getting lent out,Its always a horror story especially when they have no expierience towing one
