Anyone have one laying around? I have a 1.15 housing now. thinking about trying the 1.01 to avoid loosing the converter. Converter is ok as is, but could stand to be a better stall/turbo combo.

Lemmie know what you got.

John have you measured back pressure?
Be careful with going to the smaller housing before you know what you have now. We ran the smaller housing on Chow's 390ci v8 and had issues.
That was with just 195ci per turbo...

Hey what's up John?

I don't have a way to measure backpressue (yet). But I do know that the backpressure is enormously less than the previous 76GTQ .85 3 bolt I had. The exhaust note sounds even a ton different then before. Hence, this is also why I jumped from the 3 bolt all the way to the GT42 housings instead of stopping at the 76GTS.

I don't think I'll ever try the torcher the car or anything to max out my combo (trying to stay <25psi ~ mid 9's hopefully). I'm just trying to find a good spool-up balance street/strip. There is definitely more tuning to do, but as is, the car takes an instance to build the first 1-2psi, but then rockets to full boost.

So, that being said.. do you think it's worth a try on the smaller housing before I try to measure any backpressure?

Thanks,
John
