That’s just the housing. The housing is good, I suppose I need the entire wire in the middle where the middle bucks is connected. If you look a bit closer, it is burnt through it seems.

I need to take it apart and see if those wires come out somehow

Years ago when I put one in my Gn they all looked like that. I passed on the first 4 , ,don’t know if it is from the dome light but I thought it had burned the wire but it’s only on the heat shrink . I’ll send a pic of mine later.

I put a led bulb in mine to help keep it cool and more light

Dude, that’s exactly how mine looks. The piece that is burnt or cut there looks just like mine. You say that is heat shrink?

Yes it is two separate wires

Yes, it is in 2 pieces

Okay so here is what I see...the piece that is burnt looks like it actually links the 2 metal tabs together that secure the bulb. I think once that is broken the middle bulb will be shot

One side is power the other is ground, if you connect them you will blow a fuse
