The MAF Sensor in one of my 85 Turbo Cars is bad. I am looking for an original GM replacement for it either a new/rebuilt unit or one that has low miles on it. I know I can get them remanufactured thru various auto parts stores but prefer to try and get a real GM one if possible. Please let me know what you have. Thanks Dusty

i have an extra one for my car but i dont know the milage but make me an offer and i mail it on tuesday to ya. it is clean and in good shape i have plugged it in and used it for a short time ran fine.

JAY :D

New GM MAF

I feel your pain. I bought a rebuilt unit a couple times. They never seem to have the accuracy of OEM units. I've got an 85 GN MAF that was a new GM unit about a year ago. Not a rebuilt unit. It's in excellent shape. I recently converted my car to an 87 cold air setup and don't need it any more. E-mail me for a price.

I also have a TPS "New GM Unit" that's about 2 months old.

I'm looking to sell the oversize turbo but, I want to sell that locally. I'm in Tulsa.

Even though I may regret it, I went ahead and got one thru where I work at Napa for about $50 so Im gonna see if it works for me. If not GM still makes brand new ones that I can get for $198.

For $198 you can switch over to 87 ecm/maf/mat/chip.
I used a NAPA '85 MAF sensor for awhile without a problem.

I understand. I wanted $100 and would have guaranteed your satisfaction.

I have seen $50 for a nice stocker. I personnally have bought and sold '85 MAFs for less then $50.
Of course there is always someone wanting to make a buck. I sold a '85 chip for $15 shipped, now the guy put it on ebay...starting bid $15.

BUT!!! Mine is way so much more than "NICE" In fact it's in excellent condition with a guarantee.

Go get a life pal, I'll use it for a paper weight first. :p

I just pulled my 84 MAF yesterday. I'm in the process of switching over to a 87 ECM. Should be up and running tonight. Mines used, very clean and was working fine when I pulled it. You can have it for the price of shipping.

I will be the bad guy and give the hot air guys running the 84/85 MAF, 84/85 ECM as well as the 84/85 IGN a little advice. The parts to support this setup are no longer made and the remanufactured ones don't work either.

I would convert to the 87 ECM, 87 MAF( No longer made so I will soon convert to the LS1 with transaltor) as well as the 87 IGN. The old 84/85 is so out of date that you will not find parts. In the end you will make the change. Brad
