Needing to replace my window sweeps. Where is the best place to source these ? Have seen/heard a few that aren't exact replacements. I need the complete outer that attaches at the top of the door. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I got mine off fleaBay. Knock off no name brand. Had to egg out a couple holes, but for the price I'm not complaining. They fit & function great otherwise.

Rockauto.com or Gbodyparts.com. Both are pretty close in price.

Thanks guys. Found some on eBay but not sure of the quality. The ones from nos4gn seem to be pretty close to OEM. Found some on gbody parts that actually show the OEM part numbers they replace.

I got mine from nos4gn and they fit perfectly. Didnt have to egg out any holes or anything. Very high quality pieces.

Were they a complete set for both sides ? The outer piece that has the hard plastic "cap" that's on the top of the door as well as the felt that rests against the window itself ?

Yes, they were sold as a complete set or 2, 1 drivers side, 1 pass. All of that pieces is 1 piece, the felt sweep against the window, the harder rubber piece that rests against the top of the door, and an angled piece that sticks into the door and is attached with 5 screws (if I remember right maybe 6) that are only like 1/4 long. Those are what holds the entire piece on the door. You will need a small right angle Phillips screw driver to reach in and unscrew those. You can easily get to 3 of the 5 but there are 2 that are behind the glass. I didn't want to remove my glass so I just took off the inner guides and that gave it enough play to get at those screws. The tighter the right angle Phillips is the easier it will be. If you want I can take a picture of my old sweep piece so you can see how it all comes. I recommend starting but not tightening those screws till you have them all started. That way you have just enough play to get them all started.

The most recent set I bought off rockauto had all 4 pieces the inside sweeps and the outside. And did I ever need the inside ones they were brittle as chalk.

Now that is a reply !!! I am indebted to you for sure. The car is apart now getting paint so the old ones are off and the door panel/windows are out too. Now is the time to replace !! I'll get those on order today. I very much appreciate the info sir !!

No problem. Glad I can contribute something to the forum as most the time I am asking questions and everyone is helping me or past questions have helped me. Finally something I can comment on!
I replaced my inner window sweeps when I replaced the inner door panel, it all came pre-assembled and I just had to install the door pull trim. Actually I got the inner panels from nos4gn too. Great company (shout out to Leslie!) and they make sure what they are selling is top notch and fits like it is supposed to.

Sweeps ordered from nos4GN today. Great folks to do business with and will definitely be getting more items from them. Once agan, I appreciate you guys pointing me in the right direction !!

No problem. Sign up for their emails too, sometimes they will send out special offers only to those signed up. They are very knowledgable too, if you are not sure on an item just ask them.

Undo the bottom window stop and lower it a bit, then lower the glass so you'll have access to the screws. Then get yourself a little combination wrench the fits the hex of a driver bit like this, grind off the flat end about 1/8" then secure the bit into the round end of the wrench with a piece of duct tape....this will hold it into place while you're "screwing around".:D See below pictures for what I'm talking about....this worked great for me....just don't forget to reposition the bottom window stop bracket after you finish. (mark location on door before loosening it)
Hope this helps.
(sorry for the repeat pictures. Long trip today, long day, very little sleep, very, very tired.)
