Looking for small bolts

I'm looking for some very short 6mm bolts. The shortest I've found is 10mm and I'd like to find some 5mm-6mm length. Any one know of a source?

Smallest I see available online is 8mm long. Buy a bolt cutter?

Seems to me I have some that are that short holding the front fender to the forks on my 82 Suzuki. They are only 2 maybe 3 threads long. Plenty of on-line catalogs to browse through if you use a search engine. I like to use this place Arctic Cat,Polaris,Suzuki,Kawasaki,Honda,Yamaha,Sea-doo,Can-Am dealer Muskegon, Michigan

You didn't specify material or head style, but McMaster-Carr has 6 mm long socket head cap screws in black oxide steel and 8 mm long in stainless steel. Metric Screw & Tool in Boston, 1-800-638-7421 also stocks them that short but again, don't know the material or head styles on their stock.

I've been searching on McMaster-Carr and can't find the black oxide. Can you provide a link? I would appreciate it.

Glad to help, Chris. I think McMaster Carr has the best catalog site on the internet, period, as far as searching and finding stuff or just browsing. Anyway, start either by clicking on "machine screws" under Fasteners on the table of contents home page, or put "socket head cap screws" in the search box (I did the second choice). Then ignore all the head size and other choices and click on M6 and 6 mm length and it gives you the black oxide part since that is the only choice. If you had clicked on 8 mm for length, you would get a list of 10 choices with all the available head styles and materials, down at the bottom of the window.
