Ok heres the deal. I have a friend who owns an 87 GN thats ran 10.80's prior to purchase. Recently a roller lifter collasped and had them replace by a local shop with no prior GN knowledge.:frown: The car has ported iron heads and matched intake. It had Felpro 1200 gaskets which were replaced with the same. Sincethese gaskets come with no front/rear intake seals they were siliconed and leaked from day he picked it up. Again they were replaced but this time with Felpro OEM style gasket/pan. It now pukes oil from the drivers side breather horribly. Should they have used stock style gaskets on ported heads? Can boost be creeping by into the crankcase causing this and causing slight power loss? Seams if the heads/intake are ported, maybe the stock gaskets could be letting boost get through. Any ideas? Sorry for the loooong explanation. Thanks.

Did it "puke oil thru the breather" before he took it to the shop? It may be a blown head gasket. If it was not "puking" before he took it in, then the head gasket may have gotten damaged by the person that tested the car after the repair. Do a compression/leakdown test.

Note to self: never own a 10 second car if you can't change lifters.

Thanks, no it did not. Problem started immediately after pick up.

Nice avatar BTW.

run a leak down first to check cylinders.. You may have a bent valve.
