Just bought the car it has no fire, guy I bought from says bad harness, well I found one and I guess I'm goin to try that along with a new crank sensorand c what happens. My question is this you can run a ignition module off of a 87 with the adapter harness from caspers on my 84 right? Or do you have to have the ecu for the 87 also? Read something that confused me on that, also on my ecu there is a caspers ultrachip with 7 settings can anybody tell me some information on the chip? Has sticker gone so no numbers I'm new to the gn world and I'm trying to get it running!! Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Welcome- I recommend you go through the no start proceedures in the basic hot air sticky ad the header of this forum. The 87 coil module is preferred and works very well with the Caspers adapter harmess. The coil pak can be used from your 84/85 or you can upgrade to the better type two coils from the boneyard. Do a search and you can find it. The ECM does not have to be upgraded when upgrading the ignition system.

I can e-mail you information on the Ultra Chip if you want. PM me your e-mail address. Down the road after your car is running you are going to upgrade to the 87 ECM and a TT chip. Brad
