Looking to buy a gn Couple questions

Looking to buy my first Gn/t type .looks like the years I want are 86-87 non hot air cars. I'm not looking for any race cars, but what are some other thing to look for on these cars.im in the Chicago land area so rust if something I will look for but what areas on these cars are a problem thanks

Check the rear frame rails. They can get "holy".

Along with the frame,the floors get very rusty,and the rocker panels,and doors,and the rear quarter panels,and the roofs,and the front and rear bumpers and fenders.
The windows usually stay pretty rust free.

Do yourself a favor and bring a guru with you. He will be able to point out stuff you never thought of. Most people will do it for free or a small fee. It would be a wise investment.
