i have older smc non-progessive. the low alky stays on dim all the time.when its really low the light comes on bright. any ideas? thanks

Sounds like the connector on top of the tank has become conductive or the float is bad. There was epoxy on the bottom of those terminals and over time that epoxy can fail cuasing a bleed through condition. Ie resistance.

There is no support on those systems as SMC is no longer in business and that style of kit hasnt been made since 2003.
