yeah it's got a scanmaster on it. we took it up to 19psi and its showing like 2.4 of knock

Ok. Loosen the wastegate rod 1 turn so you have 0 knock. Take it slow and shoot for 0 knock at all times. Make sure your fuel system is good. Stock and 18 pounds is on the edge!

Alright, I'm back guys. The car was running great on 18psi and little to no knock. Now, out of no-where, the car is trying to boost to 25+psi. I checked to see if the wastegate puck was stuck and it was not. the wastegate and actuator are still working properly, it's just not opening at 18psi anymore. I had to adjust the rod to the point of having the wastegate slightly open at all times just to keep it under 20psi. the problem with that is there is no longer any low rpm boost.

So... Lets talk about that factory "boost solenoid". should we even have that thing hooked up? What if it is leaking boost from the line that runs to the actuator? That would explain the boost soaring to 25psi for no reason.

I need to know more about the boost solenoid and where is it getting its commands from? And, if I bypass it will there be any issues?

No problems. You can hook the vacuum line from the turbo direct to the actuator. Ziptie the ends of the vac hose to avoid it leaking.
