I am just curious about having a lower stall converter then my turbo requires. I have a 2800 and the turbo needs 3000-3200. I like the fact that it doesn't spool instantly becuase it keeps me out of trouble traction wise. Is this hurting more then it is helping?

I can brake torque to about 3-4 psi before the tires spin if i rev in neutral a fe times to get the vaccum up. Other then that, 0psi is all it will hold. Before the new turbo, I could leave with more boost but the tires didn't like it. Thanks

i just had a 1800 stall converter in with my stock turbo and it spooled like a$$. got a 3K orange stripe now and its crazy. i would rather be limited by traction than by boost building ability. just get some sticky tires and hook. it may be hurting you from a roll but im not sure.

Your brakes are limiting what you can hold, not the converter. I am not familiar with vacuum brakes but it sound like you need a bigger "vacuum reservoir"
