Ls 6.0l and nv3500 swap

I know what your gonna saw a nv3500 isnt a very good tranny but i found a 2500 chev truck with rear end ripped off it major accident with 29000km in it .
The guys at scrap yard said wtv you wanna take of the truck for 850 buck
What should i take to make my swap as cheep as posible to start up

Just for more info i plan on twin turbo i know tranny wont last but should get a season or so will i save for t56magnum or a 6 speed

I plan on running hp tunner so keep stock ecu is fine
