Ls1 mass air flow

I have been saving some cash for the ls1 conversion maf. I seen there is 3" & 3 1/2" What do you guys runs? If I went 3 1/2" would I have to change my piping and air filter as its 3"?

3.5 to 3" reducer, 3.5" filter opening. Or just use the LT1 maf. A few are now using the 4" Z06 maf that has a built in iat sensor. What is your goal?

The reason I want to do the swap is I have had two bad maf in the last year. My car runs low 12's all day. Wuold I gain anything for ether 3" or 3 1/2"?

Hard to say, but most people notice an improved idle quality if nothing else. It won't be any slower.
