Glads to hear he was ok, but he expects us to believe that was a hit done while he was driving slow? Ha, I wonder if he thinks the police report will reflect he was driving at a reasonable speed for the weather conditions. Mark

YA i believe thats what happens to a car traveling the speed limit in the rain:o As his story goes he should have had sometime to slow the car. Probably riding around on bald front tires from burning out around corners.

I see the problem... there's no gigantic wing on the back to provide the downforce necessary for those cars. :D

Those are amazing pictures. The rear wheel is caved all the way up to the front seat.. any passengers would have been HISTORY. Imagine waking up to see what's left of your passenger like that. You'd never be right in the head again. WOW.

Ha ha ha GN. This thread needs to be tied with the one in here asking what good a wing is. This is proof positive those ricers with the huge sprint car wings are really onto something. The wing would of saved his car. Has a nice ring to it. Lol, Mark

Hmmmmmmmm

Looks like about twice the impact some little accord(ian) took from my '89 Regal with the wife driving. She pushed the right rear up into the back seat and the Honda was a total loss ($23,000) but I drove the Buick home and had to put a headlight in the left side (not pretty but legal). Funny thing is, she was only doing 25-30mph when the idiot stopped if front of her (swapped drivers and all went to hospital) after just getting past an accident that the police had 2 of 3 lanes blocked off for and she was looking to change lanes at the time.

I would guess the guy was driving about 65 on a freeway and was probably still doing at least 50 when he hit the pillar.

Anybody want to put their family in a Honda????????? I know I won't!!!!!!!

For all the talk by the anti SUV crowd about small cars being as safe or safer than SUV's, you sure see a lot of mangled and torn in 1/2 small cars where most SUV fatals are morons not wearing seat belts.

Another Texas Honda bites the dust (nearly a daily occurance on the news down here). I never did see pictures on the net of the Civic "type R" where 60+ feet of guardrail went beween the passenger and driver a few months ago on the local news.
