Perfect for a new steel crank set up, neutral balance.

$135 shipped
lower 48

Honestly I'm not going cry over 5$ so that's fine 120$ it is

Question: I kinda figured that the red sections would have to be machined out to give it a neutral balance. Seem like it would still be heavy on that side. Not saying this one isn't neutral, just didn't look like I expected it would.

You know, I didn't even look. Ta performance's balancer has all holes cut equally. Any one have any input on that?

There's a large weight on the back that is machined off. I've used another one just like this and it worked great . No issues what so ever. There should be more info if you do a search on here. Others have done the same.

I have done several like that...BUT...it's not 100% true neutral. The rotating assy can be balanced with it attached OR after it's balanced to spec slip it on and it will show you where to remove weight. I do them in my bridgeport often. Several including my own engines using this set-up with no issues.

if you look at the 1st picture there is material drilled out of the back of the balancer to offset the casting

That's a factory balance drill mark.

This balancer is fine like it is, see my post. I have personally balanced engines this way, not dropped it off at shop and trusted them to do so.

Yeah I got it from Lonnie . He Machined it himself for a project car. I got with a bunch of parts.
I totally agree that it should be balanced with the crank and flywheel to achieve neutral . I should have explained it to the earlier guy that it will work fine .
