SignUp Now!I have done several like that...BUT...it's not 100% true neutral. The rotating assy can be balanced with it attached OR after it's balanced to spec slip it on and it will show you where to remove weight. I do them in my bridgeport often. Several including my own engines using this set-up with no issues.There's a large weight on the back that is machined off. I've used another one just like this and it worked great . No issues what so ever. There should be more info if you do a search on here. Others have done the same.
if you look at the 1st picture there is material drilled out of the back of the balancer to offset the castingQuestion: I kinda figured that the red sections would have to be machined out to give it a neutral balance. Seem like it would still be heavy on that side. Not saying this one isn't neutral, just didn't look like I expected it would.
