Maf

It's been awhile since I took off a defective maf and I can't remember where the sensor goes. Any help?

what sensor.. the MAF????
goes in before the turbo on most setups

Turbo inlet > MAF hose or pipe > MAF > AIR CLEANER

if its "defective MAF" it goes in the trash

the sensor i'm talking about is called an air intake temperature sensor.

MAT or IAT sensor
if car is still stock it goes into the plastic elbow before the air box

if its not it and has a kn style cone filter it goes into the rubber neck of the filter , if theres no hole drill one and push it in ,
you could just leave it on the fender it doesnt do much anyway unless you have an aftermarket engine management system like FAST

thanks, thats where I put it. The mal code 34 went off but now the car bucks and farts like crazy. Any ideas? Only under boost.

34 is MAF
Mass air flow sensor

i wouldnt take a gamble at the parts store remans
and even the old stockers arent too cheap if you can trust it to be good from the seller

translator / LT1 maf setup ends the problems with the stock mafs

the code could have been set if you had key on with plug to maf disconnected '
provided you didnt tinker with something else besides the maf it does sound like the maf is your issue
if you can try to borrow a known good maf , if it fixes your issues get a translator/lt1 setup
