Magnacore 10mm wires different on a hotair?

I was just informed that Magnacore makes 10mm plug wires for BOTH a 1984/85 TR, and also for a 1986/87 TR. I have access to a set taken of an '87 for a good price. This isn't recommended on my '85 GN? What problems would it cause?

A few of the wires should be too short.
The coil on the intercooled cars is centered in the back of the motor, ours is in the front on the drivers side.
So the wire that would have to go to the rear passengerside spark plug will probably be too short.

They are the same wires, just different lengths. I have heard of plenty of people using 86/87 wires on the hotairs, they say that you just have to be careful with which wire you use wear.

Ive got '86-'87 on my car. Just place the different lengths in the wisest spots and you'll be fine.
If I had the choice I would have got the correct wires. However, I spoke to Magnecor and they told me that they could send out individual wires at whatever length needed, so thats something to think about.
