Main bearing question

I was installing new bearings today (MS960P) The bearing for the rear main is to skiny to fit and the tab is almost 1 cm to the side of where it should be. Is it something I am doing wrong or what? Cant find where I put the old one to compare it. Thanks

You must have the bearings mixed up. 1 & 3 main journal use the same shell and the rear journal has the tab in a slightly different position. You must have the correct rear journal shell in the 1 or 3 position.

lets see...#1&3 should be #MB-2433
#2 is #2434
and #4 is MB-2491...these are part numbers that are on the bearings later joe

Thanks man shows what I get for not paying attention only other engine I put together was a mopar 360. Thanks
