i just came back from a crusin car show in o.c md and i have just had my trans rebuilt about 200 miles ago about half way there my over drive kicked out and stayed that way so i pulled over and let the car cool for a few min. started again and it was normal about 5 miles later it did it again.so i stopped again . started again and no problems. when i got there i just cruised around town no problems then again i neverr got above 45 mph
anyway on my way home every thing was ok until i went to pass
a truck the rpms shot up and the car didn't go anywhere so i slowed down and all i had was 1st 2nd and drive but now the trans is flaring appox 1500 rpm between each shift point and has lost OD all to gether. another thing i have no lock up becuase i did just find out that the converter the rebuilder put in is a non lock up converter it is a 3000 stall as well. though i did specificaly asked for a lock up . is the non-lock converter hurting my trans . i'm really upset about this i just invested $1400.00 in the rebuild
any hepl or advise would greatly be appriciated. thanks everyone

Man you do have a mess going on. You did specifically ask for a lock up and got a non? That is not right. Now if the trans wasnt set up for a non lock and one was installed without any other changes, yes, it could cause problems by overheating it. You
have several issues to resolve Number 1 being to get together with your builder and find out exactly where the miscommmunication was and how to resolve this now.
