Also about the EGR?? will blocking it free up hp? from my understanding it only works at cruise? By the way what should i look at if my speedo doesnt read? it will only read after about 20 minutes of driving otherwise it goes up to 18-20 mph then goes back to 0??

Regarding the speedo; If you have the electronic dash, it could be the vehicle speed sensor (VSS), the sender at the transmission or the cable between the trans and VSS. If your car has analog guages, maybe the the cable or sender.

Some people block off the EGR but if your car has to pass a smog test, leave it on and functional. It's bypassed under WOT anyway.
